The School Vision and Aims

Our beliefs for the school can be summarised in our school vision.

This is to:
· respect each other;
· cater for the needs of all;
· take a pride in our school;
· get involved;
· be a good team member;
· show initiative.

The overall aim for our school is to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which will help the children develop enquiring minds and acquire the knowledge and skills to prepare them for adult life.

In particular we aim to:
· maintain high standards in Numeracy and Literacy;
· provide a balanced range of learning experiences, which meet the academic, physical and spiritual needs of the child;
· support children with learning difficulties;
· provide extra-curricular opportunities that help develop children and give them some understanding of the part they can play in the wider community;
· promote education as a partnership between school and home, involving parents and keeping them informed;
· help all children acquire a set of moral values on which to base their behaviour and encourage self-discipline and a caring, responsible attitude towards others;
· maintain high expectations, which challenge children and encourage them to achieve their full potential;
· keep relevant and meaningful records, which monitor each child’s progress and achievements across the curriculum;
· provide an attractive and stimulating environment.
