Today we were going to be thinking about our conclusions for our balanced argument.

 

We were going to be practising by writing a conclusion for the model text about Vikings.

 

Read through the model text again

 

Write a conclusion for it, about 4 or 5 sentences long to include

  • a reminder of the question being argued
  • a short summary of each point of view - arguments FOR and arguments AGAINST
  • a personal opinion

 

CHALLENGE - plan the conclusion for the balanced argument we will be writing - 'Should Jim stay at the workhouse?'
