Geography

Today we were learning about the journey of a river - from its source to its mouth - usually at the sea. Read through the slides or pdf carefully and watch the youtube clip.

Consider:

  • what are the different stretches of the river called?
  • how fast does it flow in different parts of its journey and why?
  • how does the width of the river change?
  • why doesn't a river run in a straight line from its source to the sea?
