Willow Bank Junior School

Good morning Y4s! We have a lovely task for you to work on this week. We received the following email from Wokingham Borough Council:

"It is National Mental Health Awareness Week – 18th to 24th May and Wokingham Borough Council is looking at ways to support those people in the Borough who are particularly isolated or vulnerable at the current time.
As part of this we are asking if schools can support this and request if children can produce letters/postcards/ drawings that can be delivered to isolated residents as part of goody bags or essential deliveries."

We thought this was such a lovely idea that we'd like you all to make your own letter or postcard for us to pass on to the council. We will collect them in at school (there will be a box at the school gates from tomorrow for you to drop them off) and they will be collected from us.

Today we want you to think about your picture  - what would you include? A collage? A picture? Rainbows? Colour? You can use photos but they must not be photos of you or anything that would identify you. Make them as bright and colourful and happy as you can so they will make people smile. Feel free to share photos of your postcards on Purple Mash to inspire others. Your picture can be A4 or A5 - it's up to you.

That's day one!
