Awoke, after a good amount of sleep to more glorious sunshine. After breakfast we set off for a lovely nature walk of about 4 miles; some children were surprised to walk so far. Many children tried foraging wild garlic. Visibility today was superb and the views were stunning from the top of the hill. The cooked lunch was very well received!
This afternoon we split into our activity groups.
Two groups went surfing. The tide was going out and with a slight inshore wind conditions were perfect for catching some waves.
Two groups were abseiling and on the zip wire.
Group 5 opened the two competitions of the week with archery and low ropes. They have set some pretty impressive scores. Mr Greene is convinced he will win the adult's tournament - watch this space!
This evening we are being visited by Zoo2U. Ginny and Russ always provide an exciting and stimulating experience for the children where they get the unique opportunity to handle all sorts of creatures.
The children all seem to be throwing themselves fully at every activity, with big smiles on their faces. They are eating LOADS!
We are looking forward to another action packed day tomorrow, and the forecast is SUNNY!
