Year 6 Homework Expectations

Reading – Every child is expected to read 4 times to an adult or older sibling at home. Once you have listened to your child read, please could you date and sign their homework book.

Times Tables – Every child is expected to practise their times tables for at least 20 minutes a week. This can be done either on Times Table Rock Stars, practise with an adult/ older sibling or another method of their choice. If your child chooses not to do TTRS, then please could you sign the back of their homework books to let us know they have completed 20 minutes times table practise.

Spellings – A task on Purple Mash will be set for completion each week. If you are unable to access Purple Mash, then please ask your child to speak to their teacher, who will give them alternatives.

Writing – Your child will be given a writing task in their homework book each week to complete.
