It's time to design your superhero spoons!
For those who didn't see the weekly round up (although we hope you all get to read it!) we are creating our own Superhero Spoonyville for Willow Bank Juniors! Spoonyville's have sprung up all over the world since lockdown, where children and adults have decorated wooden spoons and placed them together outside schools and local housing estates to bring a sense of 'together while apart'.
Now it's your turn. Today's lesson is about letting your imagination go wild - what superhero or heroes are you going to use to inspire your spoon designs? Are you going to make a spoon that represents someone you know? Or a keyworker that you admire? Or a fictional superhero? We don't mind what you make it - or how many you make - we just can't wait to see your creations. Please feel free to invite siblings to join in too - the more spoons the better.
We suggest you start by designing your spoon on paper first - think about the materials you are going to use, the colours, the fabrics, etc. Don't forget your spoons will be standing outside so the need to withstand the rain! Feel free to upload your designs onto the Purple Mash blog and show us what you have done.
