It is the policy at Willow Bank to identify children with individual needs and give them appropriate support. This support can take many forms and includes the close monitoring of the child's progress. Children may be placed in a smaller group in Numeracy or Literacy, supported by a teaching assistant. If a child does need some form of intervention, parents will be notified and proposed actions discussed. In some cases, children will be placed on the Special Needs Register. These children will be given a provision map at least twice a year, which will be regularly reviewed and, where necessary, renewed.
